A Gift That Continues to Bless
August 23rd, 2026, there was a serious gang attack not far from us. Hundreds of people were reportedly killed or kidnapped that same night. It was a very stressful and frightening time for our community.
But just two days later, God gave us an opportunity to bring a little joy and hope to some of our children. We were able to take our OSESE children to play soccer with another club in our area. For a few hours, they were able to laugh, play, and take their minds off the fear and stress around them.
And there was something else that touched my heart that day.
I had about 14 children in my tiny five-seat Toyota Camry car—the same car that was donated to me more than 8 years ago. The older children walked to the field and back home.
That car has become much more than a vehicle to me. It has become a reminder of God's faithfulness and of how one simple act of generosity can continue blessing people for many years.
I remember when my friend donated that car, he told me, “Use it to bless others or for your ministry.” I have never forgotten those words. More than 8 years later, that gift is still helping me serve children and people in need.
This is one of the things that makes me so grateful for the journey of OSESE. To the person who donated that little car more than 8 years ago: Michael Cone, thank you. Thank you for trusting God, for believing in me, and for choosing to use what you had to bless others. Your gift has traveled much farther than you may have imagined.
Today, we are praying for another provision: a bigger vehicle, a truck, or a bus that can safely transport more of our children and allow us to serve them even better.
Please continue to pray for OSESE as we seek to evangelize and make disciples for Christ through sports and games and impact the lives and mindsets of future generations. Pray for Haiti and for peace, protection, healing, and hope for our children and families.
We will continue to trust GOD for Haiti and OSESE.
"Sometimes, a small gift placed in God's hands can become a blessing that lasts for generations."
